After nearly two years of pandemic shutdowns and uncertainty, ArtsWest Playhouse in the Junction returns to live theatre productions with a whole new season, kicking off with We’ve Battled Monsters Before, a new musical created by and co-starring Seattle-based playwright and composer Justin Huertas. We talk with Justin about the magic found in this creative collaboration, the Filipino culture it celebrates, and returning to the ArtsWest stage to perform for in-person audiences.
